2009 Round-Up

Happy new year!

Blimey, what a year. I didn't really have any goals for the year. I really like Kitschen Sink's idea of making goals privately and then sharing them at the end of the year. I might do that. My only real goals for 2009 were to pay off our debts (made our last payment to the bailiffs just before 1st Jan - hooray! Took over a year but it's done!), which we're pretty close to doing. Closer to being debt-free than we were this time last year, anyway. I also expected to be completely healed from this blasted M.E. by now. 

So, what did I do in 2009?
11 scrapbook pages (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)
scrappy canvas thingy
A load of badges/scrapbook embellishments/magnets
A felt camera case
Lots of skinny scarves
A kitchen wipe-board
7 neck-warmers (here are some)
22 (possibly more) fabric hearts (here are some)
My first ever cushion cover, followed by my second and third
9 sock creatures (some of them have yet to be featured here, but they can all be found on Flickr)
I attempted the photo project 365, but gave up in April (I think it's much more of a challenge when you don't leave the house much! 13 of my photos contained socks.)
I turned a boring office chair into a funky Cath Kidston chair
I photographed two weddings
I covered my guitar case
I designed and made the wedding stationery (amongst other things) for a wedding
and I had a stall at a Christmas Market.


Not a bad year, really.


My favourites of the year are the Cath Kidston chair, the guitar case... Hmm, just realised that I'd end up listing all but about 4, so I'll stop there.


Right, this post has taken me much longer than I anticipated so I'll have to leave it there for now. Mr Pippa has just started a new shift pattern where his late shifts (12-8.45pm) have been replaced with even later shifts (now finishing at 10.30pm). My head hurts and my eyeballs ache. Not sure I'll be able to stay up for him every night. This is agony!

    As for debts, I know what you mean :-/ glad you're almost there.

  2. re. the 365. I took 14 shots including socks within a year but some 62 photos directly involving looking at my feet! Try again one day using something like Flickr Group Roulette to give you daily ideas!
    I also adored your CK chair, it looked wonderful!
