yummy biscuits

I made some biscuits this week - a great excuse to use my cutters. It's a really easy biscuit recipe.
Ingredients:
4 oz (100g) Butter
2 oz (50g) Caster Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
6 oz (150g) Plain Flour
Half Teaspoon of Baking Powder
A Pinch of Salt (when do you not add a pinch of salt? Anyone know?)

Sift the dry ingredients. Rub the butter in and add the sugar. Add beaten egg yolk and knead into a stiff dough. Roll out with a great big rolling pin and have fun with the cutters.
Be sure to grease to baking tray, otherwise it will be a nightmare to get them off in one piece.

Bake for 20-30 minutes at 180C (I can't find the little degree symbol), then take out of the oven and leave to cool on a cooling rack. Here's what mine looked like ...

Yum!
