seaside stripes

So, I had made the scrapbook, ready to present it, but I hadn't found a suitable box to put it in. I'm not sure what I would have done if I hadn't have found myself in the most gorgeous fabric shop in the world (I'll tell you about that another day - that needs a blog post all to itself!). I stumbled across a ready-cut fat quarter of THIS...

It went so perfectly with the colour scheme of the album. I was going to chop off the bottom bit but I like it. I like that it says Timeless Treasures.

And I loved the numbers at the bottom.

You fabric connoisseurs are probably laughing at me for basically thinking that the barcode is pretty, but I do.

Hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday Monday. I ate cake (Mr Pippa baked a lemon drizzle!), dozed, and didn't utter a word. I have tonsillitis again (I've stopped counting how many times that is now - the game is just getting boring) and my throat hurts far too much to speak, so Mr Pippa and I have been able to get in some more BSL practice. We've almost finished Level 1, don't you know! I'm going to eat a spoonful of honey. Nighty night.

  1. Oh dear I do hope you feel better soon. So where do you find a husband who bakes and reads to you? I need me one of these.

  2. I'm torn between being very sorry you have tonsilitis, and enjoying the fact that it means I can learn sign language! Thanks for a fab weekend, and tell hubby I want some of that cake! xxx PS Can't wait to see the scrapbook

  3. Rowan: I actually found him in a field in Yorkshire! Check the fields near you - you might find one there ;o)

Rin: Unfortunately, you missed out on the cake, but at least you were able to sample one of his monster cookies. But yay for learning Sign Language!
