Cath Kidston CHAIR!

On seeing this a friend said to me, "Very chic! Dare I ask how much it set you back? Do you still have both kidneys?"*

If I had realised that it was actually going to look alright, I would have spray painted the black plastic bits of the chair. I guess I could still do that at a later date I suppose.

What do you think?

I did take photos while I was doing it so that you can see how I did it, but those pictures are still on my dead machine. I'll do a how-to another time.

The flowery fabric was a Cath Kidston tea towel I was given 5 years ago (!) but didn't want to use because I was a student and it would have got trashed. So I saved it and it was still left unused in our tea towel basket because we couldn't bear to get it dirty. Time to do something else with it! The pink polka dot fabric was also a tea towel (never underestimate how many things you can do with a tea towel) and the red polka dot fabric was actually one of the fat quarters I bought from that stunning fabric shop in Rochester.

But, of course, I had to keep the Cath Kidston label on there somehow. I think it worked quite well. And not bad for a first attempt!

*Actually you can't legally sell your kidneys in this country. I seriously considered it last year.
